Author Guidelines
The MRCE International Journal of Advancements in Science, Engineering, and Technology (IJASET) has established comprehensive guidelines to assist authors in preparing and submitting their manuscripts. These guidelines ensure that all submissions meet the journal’s standards for quality, format, and ethical considerations. Below are detailed instructions for authors looking to submit their work to IJASET.
1. Types of Manuscripts:
Original Research Articles: Reports of original, high-quality research in science, engineering, and technology.
Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of recent advances in a particular field.
Case Studies: Detailed examinations of specific instances, projects, or phenomena relevant to the journal’s scope.
2. Manuscript Structure:
Authors must format their manuscripts following the journal’s specific structure:
Title Page: Includes the manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and contact details (especially email). The title should be concise and informative.
Abstract: A 150-250 word summary of the manuscript, highlighting the purpose, methodology, main findings, and conclusions.
Keywords: Authors should provide 5-7 keywords that accurately describe the content of the article for indexing purposes.
Introduction: A clear introduction that provides background, states the problem or research gap, and outlines the objectives of the study.
Methods: A detailed explanation of the research methodology, including materials, procedures, and data analysis methods.
Results: Presentation of the research findings with tables, graphs, and figures as needed. Data should be clearly explained and supported by statistical analysis where appropriate.
Discussion: Interpretation of the results, comparisons with previous research, and implications of the findings.
Conclusion: A concise summary of the main outcomes and potential future directions.
References: Citations must follow a specific style (APA, MLA, or IEEE, depending on the subject area). All references must be complete and accurate.
3. Formatting Guidelines:
Manuscripts should be prepared using a word processor (MS Word or LaTeX).
Font: Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
All figures, tables, and equations should be numbered and appropriately captioned.
Figures should be in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi), in formats like JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
Tables should be formatted using the table tool in Word (not as images) and placed within the text, near where they are first cited.
4. Plagiarism Policy:
IJASET has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submissions are subject to plagiarism detection software.
Manuscripts with more than 20% similarity to previously published work will be rejected.
Authors are responsible for properly citing all sources and ensuring that the manuscript is free from plagiarized content.
5. Ethical Considerations:
Authors must adhere to ethical research practices, including obtaining proper consent for human or animal studies, and ensuring that data is presented honestly and without fabrication or manipulation.
Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
Authors should acknowledge all sources of funding and contributors to the research.
6. Supplementary Materials:
Authors can submit supplementary materials such as data sets, multimedia files, or additional figures, which can be published alongside the main article. These materials should be clearly labeled and referenced within the manuscript.
7. Citation Style:
The journal accepts APA, MLA, or IEEE citation styles, depending on the article’s subject matter.
Citations in the text should be numbered in square brackets (e.g., [1]) and correspond to a numbered reference list at the end of the manuscript.
All references should include the full list of authors, the title of the paper or book, the journal or book title, volume and issue numbers (if applicable), and page numbers or DOI.
8. Submission Process:
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission portal. The submission system will guide authors through the necessary steps, including uploading the manuscript file and entering metadata (title, abstract, keywords, author details).
Authors must register on the system to track their submissions and interact with the editorial team.
Upon submission, authors will receive a confirmation email with details of the submission and instructions for any further steps.
9. Peer-Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. This ensures that neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other’s identities, promoting objective and unbiased feedback.
Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript for originality, scientific rigor, clarity, and relevance to the field.
Authors will typically receive feedback within 4-6 weeks. Based on the reviewers' comments, the manuscript may be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.
10. Revisions:
If revisions are requested, authors will be provided with detailed comments from reviewers. Authors must revise the manuscript accordingly and resubmit within the specified timeframe (typically 2-4 weeks).
A cover letter outlining how each comment was addressed should accompany the revised manuscript.
11. Final Proofing and Publication:
After the manuscript is accepted, authors will receive proofs for final approval. Authors must check the proofs for any formatting errors or minor corrections before the article is published.
Once the final proof is approved, the article will be published online in the upcoming issue. All articles are made freely available to the public under the open-access model.
By following these guidelines, authors can ensure that their submissions are processed smoothly and reviewed efficiently. The goal of these guidelines is to maintain the high quality of content published in IJASET, while also making the submission process as straightforward as possible for authors.
