Dr. Vivekanandhan VijayaRangan is an Associate Professor and Dean (IIIC & IIC) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (CSE–AIML) at Malla Reddy College of Engineering, Secunderabad, with over 14 years of academic and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Computational Complexity, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Convolutional Neural Networks. He has a strong background in Web Technologies, Java, and Python Programming, and has taught numerous courses in these domains. He has published extensively in reputed SCI, Scopus, and WoS indexed journals(17) and conferences(25), authored four books, and holds four patents. He has guided over 200 B.E. and M.E. projects and actively contributed to innovation activities, institutional website management, seminar and workshop organization, R&D activities, and accreditation processes. He has also mentored teams for the Smart India Hackathon and received multiple recognitions, including Best Researcher Awards from Samarkand University, Uzbekistan, and Manipal University, Malaysia (2025). He is a Life Member of the Institution of Engineers (India), a Life Member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG).

INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERACTION CELL

The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) will make an attempt to minimize the gap between the expectations of the Industry and the graduating engineers of our Institution. IIIC will strengthen the linkages with the industry and research organizations. IIC will train our students in collaboration with the industries professionally in the state-of-art technology areas to meeting the specific needs of Industry in order to make them fully employable.

OBJECTIVES

  • Disseminating technical advances through informal educational techniques.
  • To made Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between industry and Institute
  • Training the shop floor personnel through continuing education programme
  • Organizing seminars, symposia, exhibitions and workshops on latest technological advancements, evaluation of project work with the collaborative efforts between industrial experts and institute.
  • To offer research, development, consultancy and testing services to solve industrial problems and socio economic problems prevailing in rural people.
  • To promote participation of industry personnel in the development of curriculam and high quality student projects.
  • To provide technical training to lower and middle level industry personnel in the recent advances in design, manufacturing and management disciplines.
  • To offer technical consultancy and training to small scale and rural industries.
  • To organize oriented training Programmes to working personnel from industry.
  • To assist the industry in the selection of suitable candidates to fill up jobs positions through campus interviews and other selection procedures.
  • To develop good work culture and prepare industry ready in students

ACTIVITIES

In order to achieve the Objectives, MRCE-IIIC will broadly be engaged in the following activities:

  • Identify the scientific and technical requirements of the “Industry”, in which Research and Development work can be taken up by MRCE-IIIC
  • Promote synergetic partnership between the Industry and MRCE for taking up joint research programmes involving the students of MRCE
  • Conduct relevant Research and Development activities within or outside the premises of MRCE with the involvement of students and/or the faculty of MRCE under the supervision/guidance of experts from within or outside MRCE
  • Organize Lectures, Interactive Workshops, Conferences, Seminars, Brain Storming Sessions, Technical Discussions, Consultancy Sessions, Training, Orientation Courses, Meetings, Visits etc, involving members of the Industry, outside experts, eminent personalities, faculty and students of MRCE
  • Encourage Industry to collaborate in Industry Study Tour Programme (ISTP) for regular Industrial visits to UG and PG students related to the curriculum in industries within and outside the state to understand the modern machines and process and latest development in industries
  • Arrange/generate Resources- financial, material and human, both from within and outside MRCE for creating high-quality infrastructure and research facilities within and outside the MRCE premises
  • Provide/get technical consultancy services to/from the industry.
  • Invite expert members of the Industry to MRCE to spend varying durations as Faculty members/Research Supervisors/ Technical Consultants etc. with an aim to enrich the professional knowledge and employability of students of MRCE
  • Arrange 4-6 weeks internship program during summer/winter vacation for UG and PG students invariably all the discipline
  • Arranging memorandum of understanding with industries and industrial associations for placement, Entrepreneurship development and Industrial training and visits.
  • Prepare the students as per the requirements of the industries.
