Dr. SATEESH NAGAVARAPU, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering(Data Science) and Dean EDC at Malla Reddy College of Engineering, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, India. He has more than 13 years of Experiences in Teaching at UG and PG Level programs. He has awarded Doctor of philosophy in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in year 2017. Published 18 papers in International & National Journals in that one SCI Paper, 5 Scopus Journals and remaining are UGC Care Listed Journals. He has published 4 Patents & also 2 books ,2 books chapters. Received “Yuva Acharya Award” from Bharat Education Excellence Awards (BEEA) for the Academic Year 2020-21 & also Certified as a MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate). He is life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Member of Computer Society of India (CSI), Life-Time Member of International Computer Science Engineering Society (ICSES). His research interests include Cloud Computing, Python Programming, Web Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a particular focus on Deep Learning and IOT.


OBJECTIVES

  • To foster a strong entrepreneurial culture within the institution by providing guidance, training, and support to budding student entrepreneurs.
  • To equip students with essential entrepreneurial values, skills, and competencies, motivating them to choose entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
  • To integrate entrepreneurship education into the academic system through relevant courses, workshops, and skill-development programmes.
  • To promote the creation of innovative, science- and technology-based enterprises and contribute to employment generation.
  • To strengthen students’ entrepreneurial capabilities for establishing micro, small, and medium enterprises with support from NGOs, industry, and voluntary organisations.
  • To enhance capacity building through collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, and institutions for technology transfer, product development, partnerships, and market access.
  • To provide continuous facilitation and business support services to prospective and existing entrepreneurs.
  • To function as a resource centre for entrepreneurship development, student empowerment, microfinance awareness, and small business management.
  • To integrate and converge diverse entrepreneurship development approaches to ensure meaningful and sustainable impact across regions.

FUNCTIONS

  • To conduct a range of entrepreneurship–oriented programmes such as Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs), Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs), Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and Management Development Programs (MDPs) to build entrepreneurial competencies among students and faculty.
  • To provide comprehensive guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs in preparing project reports, securing approvals, obtaining loans, accessing support systems, and understanding relevant technologies and business processes.
  • To promote entrepreneurial growth and awareness by organizing guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and other knowledge-enhancement activities.
  • To facilitate industry exposure by arranging industrial visits for prospective entrepreneurs, enabling them to understand real-time business and manufacturing practices.
  • To strengthen entrepreneurial learning through mentorship by enabling interactions with successful entrepreneurs and establishing a structured mentorship framework for student-owned startups.
  • To build strategic collaborations and partnerships by signing MoUs with reputed entrepreneurial institutions, such as the Asian Institute of Family Managed Business, for advanced training and capacity-building opportunities.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

  • Student Registration: Interested students register with the ED-Cell to participate in entrepreneurship initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurship Training: The ED-Cell organizes training sessions led by experts to equip students with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
  • Idea Generation & Mentorship: Students are mentored to brainstorm, refine, and select innovative business ideas.
  • Idea Development: Experts assist students in transforming their ideas into commercially viable models, prototypes, or products.
  • Presentation to Investors: Fully developed ideas are presented to venture capitalists (VCs) or funding agencies for evaluation.
  • Financial Support: Selected ideas receive funding or investment support from VCs or relevant financial institutions.
  • ED-Cell Support Services: The ED-Cell provides ongoing support, including incubation facilities, resources, networking, and business guidance.
  • Peer Mentorship: Successful student entrepreneurs guide and motivate other students to pursue entrepreneurship and build their ventures.
