Dr. A. Athiraja, a distinguished Professor in Computer Science and Engineering (AIML) and Dean of Research & Development at MRCE, Hyderabad, has dedicated 12 years to academia
and research. His prolific contributions include over 20 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, 12 conference presentations, 10 patent publications, six textbooks, and nine book chapters.
Dr. Athiraja has successfully secured funding for various projects, such as the TNSCT project proposal, IIC Mentor Mentee scheme, and consultancy projects with industry partners. His excellence in innovation and education has been recognized through numerous accolades, including the Best Innovator Award, Motivational Teacher Award, Digital Guru Award, Student Favourite Staff Award, and recognition as a YUVA Mentor.
Additionally, he has served as a jury member and evaluator for the Toy Hackathon and a reviewer for esteemed publishers like Springer and Elsevier.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Athiraja has held significant roles, including MHRD-IIC Cell Convener, NBA Incharge, Institute Patent Cell member, Rathinam Startup School coordinator, NAAC Criteria 3 Coordinator, NISP Coordinator, and ARIIA Coordinator. His commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident from his participation in nine certification courses, 20 workshops, 15 industrial visits, six internships,
12 seminars, and 12 Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
Dr. Athiraja's extensive experience and contributions have made him a respected figure in the fields of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, inspiring peers and students alike with his dedication to innovation, mentorship, and quality education.
